Our client is an industry-leading multinational enterprise and a dominant player in the global high-volume component supply chain. They are currently seeking a high-caliber Senior Director of Production Management to steer their manufacturing operations.
This is a strategic leadership role designed for a visionary operator who thrives on complexity. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire production lifecycle of high-precision components that are integral to the next generation of consumer electronics. You will bridge the gap between advanced R&D and mass-market deployment, ensuring that the organization maintains its competitive edge through operational excellence, cost optimization, and unparalleled output quality.
What You Will Do:
- Operational Transformation: Drive a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Industry 4.0 principles, automation, and data-driven decision-making to optimize yield rates and throughput.
- Scale and Agility: Manage massive manufacturing operations characterized by rapid product life cycles and high-volume demand. You will lead the scaling of processes from pilot phase to full-capacity production.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Align production strategies with supply chain, procurement, quality assurance, and engineering teams to ensure seamless end-to-end operational execution.
- Capacity Planning: Architect long-term production strategies that anticipate market volatility and technological shifts, ensuring the organization remains agile in a demanding global market.
- Talent Leadership: Lead and mentor a vast, diverse team of plant managers, process engineers, and operations personnel, fostering a performance-driven culture focused on safety, quality, and output.
Candidate Profile:
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume, high-precision manufacturing. Backgrounds in consumer electronics components, precision mechanics, or advanced material processing are highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Operations Management is required; an MBA or advanced degree in an operations-related field is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and advanced automation technologies. You must have a proven track record of managing complex production environments (e.g., cleanroom environments, automated assembly lines, or high-speed machining).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-site operations and effectively influence stakeholders at the C-suite level.
- Proven experience navigating high-pressure environments, managing urgent ramp-ups, and resolving supply chain or production bottlenecks under tight deadlines.
